arXivisual: interactive visual explanations for research papers
An arXiv paper can be rigorous and still be difficult to navigate. arXivisual explores a complementary format: a scroll-driven page that connects paper sections, equations, summaries, animations, and voice narration.
The open-source project takes an arXiv paper, divides it into sections, identifies concepts that can be visualized, and generates an interactive presentation around them. The aim is not to replace the paper, but to make its structure and key ideas easier to follow.
The project also raises a question for academic communication: can interactive formats improve access to research while preserving the rigor, inspectability, and permanence of the traditional paper?
This is a presentation and visualization project, not evidence that generated explanations are scientifically correct. The underlying paper remains the authoritative research record; visualizations and narration should be checked against it.
